About Ginn Music Group

Ginn Music Group (GMG) consists of various record, publishing, and film catalogues. Many of our songs, records, and films were produced in the early to mid-70’s, primarily in Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama – this is often referred to as the “Hotlanta sound”.

Because GMG controls both the underlying composition copyright and master sound recording for the majority of our titles, we are often able to provide one-stop licensing for reproduction and synchronization usages.

The GMG sound recording catalogue includes General Recording Corporation (GRC Records), Hotlanta Records, Aware Records, Chant Records, Clintone Records, Moonsong Records, Act One Productions and Wonder Records.

The GMG publishing catalogue includes Act One Music, BMI, Moonsong Music, BMI, Jalew Music, BMI, Grapevine Music, ASCAP, Tone Deaf Music, BMI, and includes over 1200 titles.

Modern Films of Georgia is the GMG film subsidiary.
